The PADI Project AWARE Shark Conservation course is a thrilling specialty course for shark-lovers and adrenaline seeking open water divers. Not a shark-lover yet? No worries! Come learn all about how amazing these commonly feared creatures are and why they are so important to our dive world. In this course, you will learn about the roles sharks play in our ecosystem, the threats to sharks globally, and what we, as divers, can do to protect these species. Of course, you will also be learning in-water skills and tips to having a positive, exciting shark encounter.
The specialty consists of an initial in shop classroom lecture covering shark species and conservation by Hope Maizland.
This course requires 2 open water dives for completion.
PADI AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty can be applied to Advanced Open Water class or Master Scuba Diver applications.
Class includes Classroom Lecture and 2 scheduled Open Water dives. (Equipment rental available upon request)
